My name is Gabriela Bar and I have been working in the field of new technology law for more than 20 years. Since 2020, I have been supporting EU consortia and technology companies as a legal and ethics advisor in projects involving artificial intelligence. I help research and business teams develop AI in line with the requirements of the European Union principles and regulations – such as the AI Act, GDPR and HLEG Trustworthy AI guidelines – while keeping solutions practical and user-friendly. My approach is never to block progress but to enable it. I translate regulations into plain language and turn them into concrete, actionable steps.
I have worked with international consortia in HORIZON and other EU programmes, including SHOP4CF, MAS4AI, EXTRA-BRAIN and OnePass. By regularly joining project meetings, I gain a deep understanding not only of compliance requirements but also of the technology itself and the reality of research work. My clients value my independence, reliability and long-term partnership approach.
I continuously expand my expertise – I completed postgraduate studies in AI: Technology, Law, Business at Kozminski University and hold a range of certificates in digital law, data protection and AI ethics. I am a member of Women in AI, the Polish Information Processing Society, the FBE New Technologies Commission and the AI Pact Community at the European Commission.
I have been listed among Forbes 25 Women in Business Law, the TOP100 Women in AI in Poland, and in 2025 I was also recognised in the Lexology Index (formerly Who’s Who Legal) Artificial Intelligence guide. I teach at universities, speak at industry conferences and publish on AI law and ethics.
I am a PhD in law and attorney-at-law, fluent in English and I work daily with both Polish and international teams.
