I’m delighted to share that I have joined the CERTAIN Project as a Member of the Ethics Advisory Board (EAB).
CERTAIN (Certification for Ethical and Regulatory Transparency in Artificial Intelligence) is an EU-funded Innovation Action that develops solutions across the entire data and AI value chain – for data holders, data spaces, AI providers, and deployers.
The project focuses on practical tools and guidelines supporting compliance, data quality assessment, bias measurement, and privacy protection. It also includes security solutions tailored to data spaces and AI systems. Importantly, it addresses the environmental footprint of AI, an increasingly relevant dimension of responsible AI governance.
In my role, I will support the integration of ethics, governance, and compliance into AI systems throughout their lifecycle – translating frameworks such as the AI Act, GDPR, and Trustworthy AI principles into practical implementation.
CERTAIN is funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe Programme (starting January 2025).
